C-UAS Technology Interest Group – September Meeting and Digital Forensics Training

C-UAS Technology Interest Group – September Meeting and Digital Forensics Training

On 11th September 2024, the group held the first online meeting after the summer interval. It was a good opportunity to refresh the group's activities, especially as we transition to ENLETS 3.0.

The meeting was complemented by a presentation from SkyGrids (https://www.skygrids.eu/), a company that develops wireless power solutions for drones and remote sensors. Their cutting-edge technology enables autonomous & long-range charging of drones during operational flight.

Upcoming Training:

One of the group’s next actions will be a drone forensics training, facilitated by INTERPOL. The sessions run on the 14th – 15th October 2024 in Lyon.

Highly experienced trainers will conduct this training, sharing extensive knowledge in drone forensics. The team has successfully delivered similar training sessions to over fifty agencies, ensuring a robust and practical learning experience. The course will be structured over two days, covering all fundamental topics for drone forensics.

Day 1: Introduction to Drone Forensics and Data Acquisition. This session will cover the basics, including the foundational knowledge required to understand drone systems and effectively gather and acquire data from drone devices.

Day 2: Analysis of Drone Data. Building from Day 1, this session will focus on the methodologies for analysing the data obtained from drones, providing deeper insights into forensic techniques and tools used to interpret and leverage drone data in investigations.

We are pleased to be able to provide the C-UAS TIG members with this opportunity, which will serve as an excellent gateway for anyone looking to gain expertise in drone forensics, offering a comprehensive overview and hands-on knowledge essential for this growing field.

Sadly, the training is already fully subscribed, but please consider joining the TIG’s mailing list to be informed about future actions.
