C-UAS TIG Update, 11.2022

The most recent C-UAS TIG meeting was held on October 19th, with a brief presentation about the outcomes of the Intra-EU C-UAS Seminar led by Lars Huybrechts (DG Home).

Jarmo Puustinen, C-UAS TIG Leader, also shared information about the FRONTEX Prize Award Contest Detection of Flow Objects. FRONTEX primarily focuses on adversarial testing and evaluation of counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) and low-flying object (LFO) detection systems. Furthermore, the Subgroups Drone Analysis and Drone Forensics recently held two kick-off meetings during which further actions were discussed.

The next C-UAS TIG meeting will be held online on Friday, December 9, 2022, and will be the final meeting of the year. The schedule for next year’s online meetings will be announced soon.

On behalf of James Bingham, Drone Analysis Subgroup Leader, we would like to encourage you to participate in the drone incident analysis survey. The link to the form is available here.
