C-UAS TIG Update After a Year of Being Active - 07.01.22

The C-UAS TIG has been active for a year now!

In that period, the Group members participated in several online TIG meetings to share knowledge about innovative technologies for counteraction purposes and to collaborate on non-technical topics. The purpose of such meetings was to also connect current and previous EU projects concerning the C-UAS topic and exchange knowledge in this field.

On 5th January 2022, the monthly TIG meeting took place online with a presentation of NPCC Counter Drones about the UK's experience in C-UAS. Moreover, Lars Huybrechts from DG HOME D.2 Counter-Terrorism informed the Group members how to join the Counter-UAS Interest Group on CIRCABC.

Dirk-Heinrich Borthe - the Leader of the Regulation Subgroup within the TIG, presented a very interesting analysis of the survey on the legal situation concerning counter UAS-Technology employed by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA).  The date of the next monthly meeting in February along with the agenda will soon be confirmed.

The Chairmen of the Drone Forensic Subgroup, Christopher Church, is going to arrange the kick-off online meeting at the end of January or beginning of February. Those who would like to join this Subgroup activity and receive the relevant updates, please sign in using this form
