ENLETS – TIG Leaders Meeting in Poznań – 28-29 September

At the end of September, the ENLETS Technology Interest Group (#TIG) leaders were in Poznan, visiting the Polish Platform for Homeland Security – the network’s Secretariat.

The team reviewed progress and looked to align upcoming actions with the overall goals of ENLETS 2.0. It was great to hear how each group is progressing, but it also showed how the individual communities have unique ecosystems and specific challenges. Therefore, the knowledge transfer between group leaders is helpful to ensure that various angles and approaches are considered, thus helping to produce valuable work for their respective domains.

As we move through 2024, the current TIGs will transition to a refreshed funding programme. There will be changes in practice and greater effort to harmonise the TIGs’ activities to support a clear and structured ENLETS work programme.

We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, and it’s fantastic to be supporting the European Commission’s objectives for Critical Communication Systems and dealing with emerging challenges and procurement obstacles that come from developing technologies such as unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and alternative fuel vehicles (AFV).

Still, there is much to conclude in current activities, so stay tuned for more updates.
