Public Order Meeting Update, 26-27.01.22

02.02.2022

On the 26th and 27th of January 2022, the ENLETS Public Order TIG meeting was held in Poznań, Poland. The event was the first in-person Technology Interest Group meeting since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on the TIG recent activities, to identify priorities for 2022 and to discuss the results of the questionnaire on the State of Play on Public Order Systems in the countries represented in the group. This has led to a dialogue on the current gaps and needs. The participants also gave practical presentations related to their daily work.

The important part of the meeting was a visit to the Riot Police Unit of the Polish Police Regional Headquarter in Poznan where the Prevention Division in Poznan, under the direction of Voivodship Police Commander in Poznan superintendent Piotr Mąka and inspector Jarosław Echaust, organised a demonstration of tactics and equipment used. The meeting ended with the development of the PO TIG action plan for the coming year.
