Digital Transformation TIG Online Meeting

12.06.2026
DT TIG Meeting 23 June 2026, an invitation

The next ENLETS Digital Transformation Technology Interest Group meeting will take place online on 23 June 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30 CET.

Modern policing increasingly relies on data, digital services and secure technology platforms. This session will explore two important areas of digital transformation in law enforcement: the use of open-source intelligence (OSINT) in frontline and community policing, and the role of container management platforms in building scalable, resilient digital services.

Participation is open only to representatives of law enforcement agencies. Colleagues interested in joining are asked to register by contacting contact@enlets.eu from an official work email address.

Session topics

OSINT for frontline and community policing

OSINT provides an important source of information for frontline and community policing. It brings together knowledge from publicly available sources and helps turn it into useful intelligence for daily policing work.

Websites and blogs, social media platforms, news articles, maps, satellite imagery, metadata and other publicly available sources can all provide valuable context for operational decision-making.

At the meeting, Web-IQ will showcase its current capabilities in configurable OSINT solutions and AI-assisted tools for frontline and community policing.

Container management using OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms

Digital transformation in law enforcement can be complex, especially when organisations rely on older, centralised IT systems that are difficult to maintain, update and scale over time.

Microservices offer a different approach. Applications are divided into smaller, independent components, allowing teams to work more autonomously, build containerised solutions and adapt more quickly to changing requirements.

Remke Schuurmans from the National Police of the Netherlands will share practical insights from his daily work with microservices, containerised solutions and platform management.

Who should attend?

The meeting will be especially relevant for colleagues working in:

IT, data, security, architecture, governance, service delivery and operational roles, as well as those who work with, depend on or make decisions about digital systems in law enforcement.

Why attend?

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how digital tools and technology platforms can support modern police services. The session will also highlight how these technologies can help protect sensitive data, enable innovation such as AI and analytics, strengthen resilience and compliance, and support cost-effective service delivery.

Participants are encouraged to join the discussion, ask questions and connect with colleagues working across this important area of digital transformation.

We hope to see you online.
